The igbo traditional wedding outfit is very unique, distinct and recognizable. It is probably a big highlight for the groom on his wedding day.One thing is certain-the igbo man’s outfit on his wedding day is clearly different from what men from other parts of the country wear on their wedding day. Depending on the part of Igbo the wearer is from, there are little variations in the grooms traditional attire
Variations are apparently in the types of shirts and in the choice of bottoms. In some parts of Nigeria, wearing the isiagu is imperative, for yet some others, a simple senator-like shirt , the cap and they are good.
The bottoms differ and also matter. The typical igbo groom may have to tie the traditional wrapper round his waist. In some parts of the east, this is imperative as it is a symbol that he is one of them or at least ready to become one of them in order to pluck the “the flower” in their backyard.
