Film Promoter, Archibong Edet Found Dead In Lagos Hotel After Lodging With A Male Partner
 A top film promoter was found dead on Monday in a hotel in Lagos. Mr. Archibong Edet, from Akwa Ibom state, was found dead in the popular New World Hotel located at Prince Bus Stop in Ijegun, Lagos. He had lodged with a male partner, one Fred Kolawole, who people suspected was his sexual partner as they have been known to meet frequently in the same hotel. On the day he was found dead inside the hotel room, Archibong allegedly took sex-enhancing drugs and ingested them before Kolawole visited him. Kolawole left very late that same day. The following morning, the hotel management waited for Archibong to come out as he's known to do in the mornings. When he didn't, his room was forced open and his body was found on the floor with faeces. The death was reported to the police who went to the scene, retrieved the corpse, and deposited it at the Yaba mortuary for autopsy. The partner, Mr. Kolawole has been arrested and detained at the Isheri Oshun Division over the death of Archibong and the police have since commenced an investigation into the cause of Archibong's death. It was gathered that the late Edet was married and had children before his marriage crashed two years ago. According to Reporters, some of the hotel patrons described the late Edet as a gentleman who had stayed in the hotel for almost two years. They were said to have known about his use of sex-enhancing drugs and Kolawole’s visits.  |
